the skinny la minx story
I love Heather Moore and everything about her gorgeous print business Skinny la Minx.
But I'd never seen this little promo film she'd made before. It's delightful. Sit back and watch!

BonBonKakku
I've just discovered BonBonKakku, a site which allows you to upload fabric designs for consideration for sale. Fabrics will be sold in their shop if they win enough votes. This is 'Spooner', my first submission.

So whether you're a designer or you just like ogling gorgeous fabric design, why don't you check it out!
Update: Sorry to say, but this site seems to have a lot of faults and does not operate properly. There is a similar site called Naked + Angry although as yet I haven't tried to upload anything. If anyone knows of any other similar sites, please leave a comment below :)

Cast your votes please!
Unashamedly, yet again, I am asking for you to vote for me in the Spoonflower Boba G2 Baby Carrier fabric design contest. I stand to win $500!

You can vote for me here. Hit the link that reads 'Vote For Your Favourite Nature-Themed Fabrics' at the bottom of the post and you will find me on page 6 of the selected 260 designs. To vote for me click on my design called 'Footprints'. You will see a green box appear around it to let you know it's been selected. You can select as many designs as you like, but to submit the votes you have to click through to the final page and hit save. Thank you!
Edit: Oh dear, seems I'm not stationery on page 6. If you can be bothered to scan through for me all the more thanks to you :)

Bognor stripe
Maybe I'm feeling nostalgic for a rainy english days on the beach! A retro stripe inspired by deckchairs and beach huts.

You've got to be in it to win it!
I've just entered this competition on Spoonflower to design a fabric for the Boba 2G baby-carrier. The theme is nature and my pattern is made up of animal footprints - half-tribal, half decorative! (Click image to view nice and big!)

There's a prize of $500 up for grabs and the deadline is this Thursday (25 Feb), so if you're feeling inspired why not give it a go!

Spoonflower
I've started a new Spoonflower account for my ongoing fabric designs. Still very much a work-in-progress, but something I'm enjoying immensely.

Nothing is for sale yet as I have to get some test swatches done which could take a few weeks, but as soon as I have something available I will let you know. In the meantime, as always, I would love your feedback on what I'm doing :)

Patterns
I'm starting to develop some patterns from type elements. I think I will be exploring these at some length as designing patterns is one of my favourite things to do. These are for starters. Not too sure what I will do with them yet. Any suggestions? Would love your feedback on which ones work for you and which don't. Click on any image to view large.
